Porsche 914 - 1973

For sale is a Porsche 914 in absolutely original condition.

The offered Zambesi green Porsche 914 is a USA import and would have to be one of the last 914s built in 1973.

In the year of delivery, the Porsche got the luggage rack and the Mahle rims mounted, which give it a special charm and have remained on the vehicle to this day. There was also air conditioning and a rustic 8-track cassette player.

The first owner spent around 33,000 miles (approx. 53,108 km) with the Targa. He then sold the car to a member of the Porsche America Club Florida in 1980.

He enjoyed the vehicle’s originality, but moved it little and mainly used it for exhibitions. The two were together for about 10 years. During this time, the 914 and was treated like a raw egg.

In 1999, Terry Kipick (also from South Carolina) took charge of the Porsche. He bought the car with 34,000 miles on it. In his possession, apart from the usual service work, there were no other things that were needed.

A few years later there was another change of ownership before the car finally ended up in 2016 with the last collector from whom we bought the car.

In 2022, the Targa finally came to Austria, from where it is now offered.

To our knowledge, the Porsche 914 has never seen the inside of a paint booth in its lifetime. The paint is presented in its 49-year-old original condition. The interior is also in excellent condition, with no unusual signs of wear or damage.

The engine starts cleanly and pulls through the revs happily. The series performance is available at all times.

The rims are undamaged and apart from the windshield, the original windows are still installed in the vehicle. Even the door seals are in excellent original condition with no cracks or signs of leakage.

The vehicle is now available for inspection and/or test drives in our Appointment Hall in Parndorf.
