The story of this rare Karmann coupé began on December 2, 1968. It dates back to a time when Porsche sold more vehicles than it could manufacture. In addition to Porsche itself, the supplier Karmann also produced Porsche bodies. The light ivory colored coupé with a truly lovely beige leatherette interior comes from this factory. Karmann built 3561 911 for Porsche. This copy even has the original doors from the delivery at that time.
The vehicle came to us as a project for a complete restoration. At that time still in light yellow, the 911 was completely dismantled, sandblasted and rebuilt in a comfortable, stress-free 4 years without haste, with interruptions. Colored according to the specifications of the COA, but the owner could not resist giving the vehicle his personal touch.
The idea was to let design elements from the Carrera RS and modern Singer conversions flow into the 911T.
So the 911 got bucket seats in the original colors, a ducktail, Fuchs rims, modern LED headlights.
The bucket seats were also refined with a beige and black Pepita fabric. A dished Momo steering wheel ensures good grip and quick load changes.
The matching engine was completely overhauled by a well-known company in Germany and rebuilt from the original except for the camshafts. The camshafts come from a Porsche 911S and give the engine a little more torque to generate at the bottom. The impressive 4 pipe exhaust system comes from Ansa/Abarth.
The completion is now almost 2 years in the past, but the visual appearance is still the same as if we had just finished the restoration. The condition is extremely good.
