Porsche 356 Carrera Cabriolet 2000 GS - 1962

One of only 28 B-series convertibles with a rare hardtop on delivery

One of the extremely rare 356 Carrera 2 Cabriolets –
Apart from the standard black Reutter folding top, this Porsche 356 Carrera has a pretty hardtop, that was ordered with the car, with an original black lining and rear side windows that can be opened. The car was delivered to D`Iteren, Brussels, in slate gray / 6201 in June 1962. It then found its way to California and on to a prestigious Japanese collection, from where it returned to Europe in the 1990s.
The last German owner had it since then and added it to his existing collection of 4-cam Porsches. The car was meticulously cared for by professionals. Apart from a few smaller events, it ran in the Coupe des Alpes and the Tour dÀuto and was an enormous pleasure to drive. Accidental damage, despite having a FIFA Passport, can be ruled out to this day, as none of the previous restorers who worked on the vehicle had anything visible or documented.

The vehicle changed hands in 2020 and the new owner decided to have this collector’s item completely restored by us. Unfortunately, private reasons meant that we were allowed to offer the vehicle on behalf of a customer.
