Porsche 911E Targa - 1971

Porsche 911E Targa 6
a time capsule..

Unbelievable but true, this car has only had 4 owners in its lifetime.

The last owner affectionately called her darling “Darling” and drove it around sunny California. After that, the Targa from what is probably the series with the most engine damage came into our hands.

In 1972, Porsche made a mistake that is highly coveted by collectors today, known as an oil flap.
Instead of leaving the oil filler neck in the engine compartment, as before, it was decided to move the neck to the outside, to where most other manufacturers had their petrol tank, which is known to be in the front of the trunk at Porsche.

Back to that time capsule. An incredible 61,000 miles since delivery. This corresponds to just around 2,000 km a year.

Such a well-preserved 911 is not exactly on our agenda.

Its 2.4 liter injection engine runs quietly and has been measured and thoroughly checked by us. Brakes and other chassis as well as wearing parts were also checked and, if necessary, changed and renewed.
The 911 also underwent a major service, which means that the vehicle is immediately ready for use.
Despite the condition, its new owner decided to have the car painted and the interior overhauled, but the rest is untouched.
