Porsche 911 SC - 1978

Porsche 911 SC 4
Brown, Brown, Chrome. Sounds good, is good.

The year is 1978. With its 911, Porsche is once again well positioned in the market and sales are increasing.

For the first time, as a market launch this year, there is the Porsche 911 SC. As Targa and Coupé in the popular versions.
The SC motor is designed for good torque and not so much for maximum top performance. Despite this, it delivers a very usable 180 hp at 5,500 rpm from its 3 liter cubic capacity.

In addition to the 5-speed manual transmission, the 3-speed Sportomatic can be selected as an alternative. Fortunately, this was not the case with this example, because a 911 with a manual transmission is still a 911 with a manual transmission.

Unique in this model year are the chrome-plated trim parts, such as door frames, door handles and window frames.

Inside, the owner of this Daily Driver can expect brown perforated leather and air conditioning as standard for hot summer days.
