The year is 1974, the 25th anniversary of Porsche production is imminent and heads are spinning in vehicle development. The first vehicles of the new series, the G-model, were already rolling off the assembly line and they wanted to create something truly unique.
In the warehouse, there were still a few legendary engines from the 911 Carrera RS, which caused a sensation and a stir the year before. It was decided to use the remainder for a new special model on the occasion of the upcoming anniversary.
To our knowledge, a total of 400 of these special 911s were built. Of these, only 16 were delivered as Targa in the model year 1975, 9 of them in 1974, and another 7 in the said year 1975.
In addition to the engine, with its 210 hp, almost 60 hp more than other 911s of this year, these Jubi models are characterized by particularly lavish standard equipment.
A more heavily padded steering wheel, tweed fabric used once for this purpose, the Blaupunkt “Bamberg” with dictation function, special paintwork in “silver metallic Z2”, stronger anti-roll bars, and a 5-speed gearbox.
To our knowledge, the vehicle offered for sale here is accident-free. In the past 10 years, the Targa has been extensively overhauled and rebuilt true to the original with attention to detail. There is extensive photo documentation of the work done.
